Healthy Living Classes

I've learned a thing or two about regaining or maintaining good health after my 5 1/2 year struggle with Lyme disease. I'm excited to share these jewels of wisdom with others.

I will be a holding a once-a-month class for moms (and daughter's) every first Tuesday from 6-8 pm.

Each month, in each class, there will be something taught in 8 different categories:

cooking for digestive health (properly prepared grains, chicken broths, etc.) - such as the making of sourdough breads and why they're so healthy.

I believe that digestive health is one of the main key's to staying healthy and is one big step to recovering from chronic sickness. And yes, I believe in the eating of meat and although I love smoothies and recognize the value of raw foods I also believe that meat and dairy are meant for mankind but that we do have some learning to do as to how much of it to eat and what kinds to eat such as free-range meats and eggs and raw dairy- which is all stuff I'll be teaching about. :)

medicine cabinet makeover - I'll be teaching about the biggest jewels I have found yet to recovering from sickness using herbal, homeopathic, food and vitamin remedies including the use of essential oils and which ones to start off with and how to use them.

probiotic rich foods - such as the making of sauerkraut (in my opinion, one of the best "superfoods" out there), fermented fruits, kefir and regular and lactose free yogurts.

healthy desserts and snacks - (we can still indulge in treats and snacks and have them be healthy!) We'll learn how to make our own nutritious cereals, fudge, fruit roll ups, peanut butter cups, ice cream and more.

food storage - I'll teach how to optimize the nutrition in your food storage and will teach about different grains that contain essential nutrition and that have been around for 1000's of years such as quinoa, millet, amaranth, and sorghum.

sprouting - how to sprout foods to create another superfood.

emotional health - how to release suppressed emotions, why they'd affect our health and how to keep stress down and why that is absolutely necessary for good health.

and lastly (but not leastly):

cleansing the body - SO important for humans living in today's world where we are constantly exposed to toxins and probably didn't grow up in a very healthy lifestyle anyway. From kidney cleanses to liver cleanses, from parasite cleanses to colon cleanses and the benefits of saunas - you'll be learning the how-to's here!

Each class will be $8 ($2 extra for each daughter) and yummy samples will be given at each class. :)

We're in Utah County. Send me a message to claudiaorgillathotmaildotcom if you're interested.

Just needing a treat at the end of a long day? This is the perfect dessert to turn to!

Ingredients:

~ Frozen Ripe Bananas

This treat is made from three healthy ingredients:

~ Raw Cacao
~ Raw Honey

All of these ingredients are allowed to be left in their true form (enzyme richness and all) due to the absence of making it with heat.
